THIS CAR IS ON HOLD UNTILL FURTHER NOTICE
This is a very early Ferrari 365 GT4/ 2+2. The car debuted in the Paris Motor Show in 1972. This car is belived produced in July 1973. This is the first year of production. It was the 79th 365 GT4 assembled (and the 67th LHD). The car has matching numbers and history is well known. According to our records it was sold new to Mr. Hofmann in Germany who took delivery at the factory in Maranello as a tourist and had the car originally registered on Italian tourist license plates "EE……" (EE=Escursionisti Esteri=Tourist) Then imported to Sweden 6th of November 1987. It was exported to Norway 15th of September 2003. It is now in Norway with Norwegian title. It is a German specification Ferrari 365.
Numbers and history were verified over email by Ferrari 365 gt4 2+2 authorities David Ramm and Marcel Massini. The car has all numbers matching apart from the bonnet
Chassis number is 17241
Engine: 681
Trunk: 067
Bonnet: 196 (probably from chassis number 17723)
The car has just had a big service and light restauration by an ex. professional rally mechanic and detailing of engine. Receipts are supplied for parts purchased for the 2016 and 17 work.
2016-2017
Mechanics
Engine out service and detailing with the “right” finishes. That means correct metal plating and paint finishes. The engine room is pure art.
Rebuild and overhauled all carburators (6)
Gearbox dismantled checked and given new parts where needed. All seals changed
New clutch and flywheel refurbished.
New oils and filters
New fuel filters and hoses
New air filters and restored air filter boxes
Body
Painted and fixed some paint blemishes. Then paint cut and polished. Paint has still small issues but nothing serious. There are stress cracks at the back of the bonnet and also some small bubbles located close to the rear wheel well. Original colour is Grigio Argento (Silver) so a repaint would be done in that colour. Original exterior color: Argento 2.443.048.
Original interior color: Beige VM 3234. Colour today: Blu Ortis (we think) with Nera Cogolo interior.
Suspension
Ball joints and steering parts changed where needed.
All receipts of the mechanical restoration will be provided on request.
Just parts used in 2016-2017 add up to ca € 7500. Total amount spent on car 2016-2017 ca € 14000. Original owner´s manual and a works manual follows the car. The service book is missing but car has lived a cherished life with owners that fixed things before they broke. Cars history is well known in the Ferrari community.
Previous work done.
Wheels restored
Full stainless exhaust
Interior is in good condition with the right finishes. But driver seat has some stitching loose. Not original steering wheel. However, the steering wheel mounted is a classic Nardi that suits the car with the correct Ferrari horn button. An original gt4 steering wheel will follow the car. Mechanics are in perfect condition. The engine idles perfect and has plenty of power. The gearbox shifts smoothly with no synchromesh issues and the brakes pull up straight. This is the true gentleman racer. Every drive is a pure sensational experience.
