Literally translated from the Italian, Fanalone means "big headlights," But we suspect that the Italian thought of something else when they gave the nickname. The larger head lights that came on the latest versions of Lancia Fulvia 1,6 HF. It was a homologation special, like all the Series One HF, and the first Fulvia with the 1584cc version of the V4. The model had stronger engine, five speed "dog leg" gearbox and a limited slip diffrential.
Benzina has been fortunate that we have been commissioned and sell this work of art. The car is very original. Even the original seats and 13 inch wheels follow the car. It has undergone numerous Monte Carlo Rallys, but is on the button and drives excellent. The engine is strong and willing. It has a wonderful sound that takes you out on imagintary special stages every time you drive it. The gearbox snick and precise. This car is ready for anything, anywhere.
The HF provides entry to the most prestigious classic car events in the world. It has "matching numbers". With the car follows piles of documentation and paperwork. Except for a repaint. It is after all a 47 year old rally car, it is very original and untouched. The car looks as it would do sitting on the starting line of the Monte Carlo Rally in 1969. The car has obviously FIA-papers and is ready to start at a rally promptly. If you just want a collector's item, this is a good investment. The smile you get after a drive is not to be mistaken. The car is as we see it worth every penny. Look at the prices on Alfa gta´s and the Lancia Stratos. They don't make them like this anymore, - no they surly don´t!
The car stand in Norway on Norwegian papers, but can be delivered anywhere.
