This lovely Alfa Giulia was delivered new Palermo, Italy in 1971. It is owned and kept by one single Italian family since new until we bought the car. After serving the family for 46 years, the family decided to restore the car in 2017-2018. Today the car is almost as new with only small signs of patina that makes it even more charming. As it was only used for small drives in sunny Palermo, so there is no rust and the mileage is very low.
The Giulia is a fun to drive. Although apparently it looks like a family car, it has driving characteristics and power of a sports car even with just 89 hp. The engine is a gem and thrives on revs. It was far ahead of its time, with full aluminum twin cam engine and double Solex 40 mm carburettors. A five-speed gearbox ensures that the engine always has power. Even today, over 48 years since the car was born, you are certainly not a slowdown in traffic. With drag coefficient of only Cd = 0.34 (Better than a 1968 Porsche 911 of Cd 0.38).
This makes it shows on motorways, with ample power even in high speeds. The mechanics are as you would expect perfect. No unwanted sounds and the gear box changes gears as it was new. The sound, smell and feel of the car makes you smile. You want to go for a pointless drive again and again.
The color combination AR-821 (Beige Cava) and biscuit leather interior, oozes Italian class and 60's design. Had we purchased this car new, this would probably have been the specifications we had chosen.
This is a thoroughbred sports car with room for the whole family. Here you have a car, you can just get in and drive to Italy tomorrow. Look at the pictures you are not going to be disappointed. This is simply on of the best Alfa Giulia´s around.
Please contact us for an appointment to view the car.
