1980 BMW R80G/S VIN 6250347 - very early production - first series - first model year - number 347 made (out of 42.521 examples) – this feels like a brand new bike.
Manufactured October 1980 - delivered October 2nd to BMW dealer Schulz in Rheinbach, Germany. Original paint code 592 Alpine White. Fully and professionally restored - done 680 km since total restoration done by Gary Burton, who runs BAWM.co.uk, a truly respected specialist in classic GS. The engine, gearbox and transmission have all been fully rebuilt. The motorcycle has matching engine and frame numbers. It is a VERY early production number.
Imported to Oslo, Norway from the UK summer 2018. Like stated, the bike needs nothing, is all correct, and is like new. Only parts fitted not original is the front fork brace. The front fork brace really helps handling on these older GS (were introduced later in 1984). The bike is also fitted with correct luggage frames and back rack – powder coated and looks like new.
