Rarely do we get cars that are completely original. This is a 1971 Alfa 2000 gtv that appears as it came from the factory minus years of age and wear. The car is usable as it is with the next MOT check 10.04.21. However, there are things that should be fixed, more on this below. We have priced the car very favorably, so that the new owner will be able to obtain financial gain when the car has been restored.
HISTORY
Unknown history until the car was registered at Terje Olsen in Oslo on May 7, 1975. Taken off the road in 1982. Was unregistered for 20 years. Back on number plates with Helge Gulbrandsen from Krokstadelva in 2002. He restored the car himself. He was then 75 years old. Bought by seller in 2003 and de registered in 2011. This means that the car has only had 3 owners in Norway, of which the last in 17 years.
CONDITION
We sell the car on behalf of the owner as a rolling restoration project without any form of warranty. You should get to grips with some things fairly quickly so that the car returns to former glory. We know these cars well and have had the car on a lift and gone through it thoroughly. We are happy to do this all over again together with the future owner.
FUTURE REPAIRS
Rust in rear wheel arches and rear sills, but the jack mounts on both sides are still solid.
Various small scratches and rust bubbles around the paint.
Rips in seat cover and crack in the dashboard.
Temp instrument does not work. (We have a complete dashboard with a working temp meter that can be purchased separately and used)
Need oil change engine and diff (LSD oil).
Heating system / passenger compartment fan does not work.
POSITIVE
Car is completely original.
Most of the paintwork is good.
A lot of the missing parts comes with the car.
Here you have the choice to keep the car original or do upgrades at will.
Gearbox works very well
Differential with limited slip works and is nice and quiet. The drivetrain is good.
The car drives straight.
Engine is in order.
Compression test has been done and the engine does not smoke.
KONI dampers.
GTA adjustable camber arms.
The car has been driven a maximum of 1000 km per summer season for the last 10 years.
Work done in the last 5-10 years
New clutch
Overhauled front steering
New coil cables and 123 ignition
Changed oil regularly
New starter
New battery
New clutch slave
New original exhaust system
CONCLUSION
Benzina Vintage Car Finder has sold a number of 105-series Alfas. We know this model very well, and we have our own lift for careful inspection and competence to assess the cars objectively. This is an Alfa Romeo Bertone with good potential, which will give the owner plenty of joy in the future.
It can of course be run as is, but you must at least repair the rust quickly so that this does not accelerate and gets worse. We sell this Alfa Romeo on behalf of a customer. The car is 49 years old and to be considered as a rolling restoration, so we want the buyer to know old cars and understand that the car is sold without any kind of warranty. We take the time to inspect the car with you. That way, misunderstandings or unfortunate incidents do not occur in retrospect.
