Unique Alfa for sale at a great price due to minor mechanical needs. This car can be used AS IS, but we recommend a few small improvements.
The Alfa was discovered in a garage in 2017 after nearly 20 years of inactivity. Everything mechanical and cosmetic had to be checked. It was a barn find. If you're interested in the story, you can read about it here:

We restored it and got the car back on the road in 2019. After that, it was sold and mostly stored. It was painted in 2019 and still looks very good in 2024. There are a few small blemishes, but they are negligible. The interior still needs some love. The buyer removed the headliner without installing a new one, which doesn't look good. A new headliner is included. The dashboard is cracked: a correct replacement dashboard is included. These two fixes will do wonders for the interior. Mechanically, the car runs well. The engine is strong, but we suspect it needs to be driven on a rolling road for those final tweaks. The stylish Michelin tires look great but are wide for road use, making the car unnecessarily nervous. It needs a front alignment (the steering wheel is not dead on) and preferably adjustable camber rods to dial out the nervousness.
BODYWORK
The car is built on a 1976 Alfa Romeo 1600 GTJ. This was an earlier project initiated by Espen Enerhaugen and Carozzeria Alfa in the 90s. Enerhaugen is known as one of Norway's best bodywork specialists. This means the quality of the widening job is exceptional. The inner fenders are seam-welded in steel, and the flares are hand-rolled in aluminum. When we found the car, it had some surface rust, worn paint, and cracked fenders. In 2018-19, the car was disassembled and fully repainted with fenders, doors, windows, and hatches off. The fenders were restored and aluminum-welded, and everything was painted in parts and reassembled on the car. Quality rivets were used.
The color is the car's original Verde Muschio. The car received new 1750 GTV indicators and 60s Mini Cooper S indicators, as well as brand-new taillights and a cover between the headlights. The car got a new green windshield with a tinted edge. It now has a white patch at the bottom for an unknown reason. An aluminum GTAm license plate light holder and new license plate lights from Alfaholics were also purchased. The trunk lid is modified for central fuel filling and a new lock with a wire installed. A bodywork job costing 75,000 NOK (6,000 EUR) was done. Today, the body appears nice, with small usage marks.
FUEL SYSTEM
The car has an aluminum tank with a centered quick-release filler cap, seen on GTAm and Aston Martin race cars. Additionally, it’s modified so the fuel level can be seen on the car's original gauges. It has a new electric pump and hoses, with the pump controlled by a switch inside the car. There’s a new FACET fuel regulator with a pressure gauge in the engine compartment. The carburetors are new genuine 45 mm Webers with stacks.
INTERIOR
Momo Martini Racing Alcantara steering wheel. Momo aluminum gear stick. Black leather seats and door panels from Bertone 2000 GTV with nice patina. 4-point vintage safety belts from ELIT. Black floor mats from Alfaholics. Extra gauges for charging and oil temperature with a 1300 instrument holder. 1750 plastic GTAm dash and 1750 instruments. Electronic tachometer recessed in the dashboard for 100% accurate RPM (safe for the engine). Switches for horn, electric fan, and fuel pump. The dashboard has cracks as mentioned, but a good one is included. The headliner is removed, but a new headliner with the necessary rods is included. The parcel shelf is reupholstered in elegant diamond-quilted faux leather. An aluminum partition is made between the trunk and the cabin.

The car is 48 years old, so we want the buyer to be both car-savvy and aware that the car is sold without any form of warranty. We take the time to go through the car with you. This way, misunderstandings or unpleasant incidents later on are avoided.
We prefer phone contact due to high workload. Emails or SMS without full name/phone number will not be answered. Viewing appointments are made in advance.
Serious inquiries only
