Recently inspected without faults (03.2025). Boxster for sale. Service book and receipts included.
In incredibly good condition considering the mileage.
The early 986 models came with a dual-row IMS bearing, which was larger and more robust compared to the single-row bearings introduced in 2000 and later. This made it better able to withstand long-term stress. The bearing on this car is believed to have been replaced, but we do not have documentation to confirm this. If this concerns you, factor it into the purchase price or book a replacement with Porsche.
The color Ocean Blue Metallic with color code L3AY was available on Porsche 986 Boxster models produced between 1997 and 2000. It's one of the most beautiful colors you can get on a Boxster and makes this car stand out in a sea of silver and black. Combined with black leather, it offers a look that’s both classic and exciting.
The Porsche Boxster 2.5 (986) is a true driver’s car—a raw, analog, and perfectly balanced roadster that captures the essence of driving joy. The mid-mounted 2.5-liter flat-six engine delivers a wonderful sound through a stainless steel exhaust and offers throttle response modern cars can only dream of. With low weight, perfect weight distribution, and a manual gearbox that puts you in full control, every corner becomes a delight. This car runs strong—better than a 2.7 we had in stock earlier.
A future classic, still available at a reasonable price. A true purist experience for those who love driving—not just getting from A to B.
Our car comes with a modern stereo system with Bluetooth and phone connectivity, and everything works as it should. The interior is immaculate, and the paint is very presentable considering its age and mileage. The electric convertible top has been replaced, and both the fabric and window are in excellent condition.
Prepared for Spring 2025 with:
Future Expenses
The exhaust heat shields should eventually be replaced. We suggest doing this at the next service.
Conclusion
The car is ready for a wonderful summer season—just turn the key and enjoy life under open skies. At Benzina Vintage Car Finder, we have extensive experience with classic sports cars. One thing we can guarantee is that any older car will require maintenance. Old vehicles can and will break. We are confident in our ability to provide a thorough and honest assessment of this car. Since the car is 27 years old (almost a vintage car!), we recommend that the buyer has good knowledge of cars and understands it is being sold without warranty.
Feel free to bring someone knowledgeable to inspect it with you. We are happy to take the time to go through the car in detail with potential buyers to ensure full transparency and avoid misunderstandings later.
Preferred contact method
Due to high workload, we prefer phone calls. Emails or text messages without a full name and phone number will not be answered.
