You are 49 years old. Life is still exciting, but you have acquired some traces from a life lived. A life full of adventures, highs and lows. You come from a time when people took the time to create things, and quality was more than just a slogan in a "reels video."
Just like that, you can describe this fantastic Morgan. The car shows clear signs of being used. Some may call it patina, while others may call it scratches and dents. Nevertheless, it drives just as well, if not better, than it did when it first left Pickersleigh Road in Malvern in the cold winter of 1975.
The previous owner loved the car and made some small updates to make it even more fun to drive. We've had several Morgan cars come through, but this one truly feels like a nimble sports car compared to previous Morgan models. Stig Hassel owned the car since 1985, and they spent 39 years together. Stig used the car for everything, whether it was a trip to the cabin or a trip to the dump. This Morgan even has a trailer hitch.
In 1995, the car was restored and upgraded with new woodwork, various bodywork, and new paint. Pictures from the restoration come with the car. In addition to the mentioned trailer hitch, the car has a ski rack, tonneau cover, radio under the seat, and a James Bond-like license plate. (If you're curious about this, do give us a call). The car has not been used in the winter since 1995.
SPECIFICATIONS
Exterior color: Opalescent silver grey metallic First registered on: 31/12/1975 Registered to Stig Hassel from: 03/1985 to 11/2023
ENGINE
1600 Ford X-Flow with dual 40 DOCE Weber carburetors. (Runs very well) In 2020, the engine was upgraded to Sprint spec: 1700cc pistons, complete sprint cylinder head with larger valves, new crankshaft and rod bearings, Kent camshaft, complete clutch, electronic ignition, High-torque starter, electric cooling fan, and Facet fuel pump.
OTHER
New tires and tubes in 2020 Serviced by SPORTIVO AS during Hassel's ownership
CONCLUSION
A fun and practical sports car that you shouldn't be afraid to use. With 4 seats, you can take friends on a cruise. Those who think this is a slow sports car are shamefully mistaken; the sprightly 1700 engine with dual Webers sounds lively, and you'll find yourself smiling behind the wheel. This is an inexpensive way to enter the Morgan world. If you're a young enthusiast, we'll even adjust the price further down. The new generation needs to experience what it truly means to drive a car!
The car is 49 years old, so we prefer the buyer to be knowledgeable about cars and understand that the car is sold without any warranty. We take the time to go through the car with you. This way, misunderstandings or unpleasant incidents are avoided afterwards.
We prefer phone contact due to high workload. Emails or SMS without full name / phone number will not be answered. An inspection appointment will be made in advance.
