Most sports car owners are affected by an acute depression when autumn sets in. As the first snow hits the ground, most classics are parked safely for winter storage. It often lasts up to six months before the cars see dry asphalt under the wheels again. For those who dream about sports cars however winter is an unique opportunity. There are many things that works for you. This year, 2016, we also have an ace up our sleeve. Let us explain:
1. The seller often lack dry and safe storage of the vehicle. He / she has bad conscience to leave the car to the elements. As all know, winter is hard on classics and sports cars. 2. No one thinks of sports cars right now. Jobs and obligations will take most of their time. Thoughts on Christmas holidays and gifts for children and relatives occupy the mind. You have in other words, few competitors in your search for just the right car or motorcycle. 3. The driving season is over. (Unless you fancy ice driving). This means that the experiences the owner wanted out of the sports car is already done. Besides, there are many who realize that it has gone another season without the vehicle being used at all. They wish to sell, and this time quickly. 4. Spring is the season that most people are selling their cars. The need for enthusiast cars are rising and it is difficult to have enough time to haggle and look at the best objects. Spring is not a good time for getting bargains. 5. If you buy a car that needs repairs and maintenance, you have several months you can use for improvements and fixing. Thus, you have a road ready car when the roads are dry again. Some bodyshops experience quiet periods. This may be an advantage for you; you can get cheaper paint job or better quality with less stress. The same applies to companies that specialize in fixing the mechanics of sports cars. How about tires? In Scandinavia most tire fitters sell exclusively winter tires now. Some may have your summer tires in stock and just want to get rid of them. In the spring they experience enormous pressure and it is difficult to get an hour for your vehicle. 6. So what is the “ace up our sleeve”? Just a year ago it was not beneficial to import cars from abroad. The Pound and Euro rate was very strong in relation to the Norwegian krone. This has in a short time changed. To date 1 euro is 9.09 NKR and 1 pound is 10,18 NKR. In other words, it is again favorable to import cars from abroad. This is a great opportunity. 7. Common for all our arguments are: Save money and get better deals. Maybe winter is not such a bad thing for sports cars shopping after all? Benzina is working flat out. Although snow falls here in Norway, we are constantly looking for “the bargain”. It's exciting to look for barn finds, dig into history of lost vehicles or import cars from abroad. Spring 2017 is your opportunity to meet fresh dry roads in your very own sports car. Celebrate winter! Let us help you find your dream. Contact us, we are here for you and your passion. |
